When asked about CM Punk, Vince actually seemed "human." The man with the testicular fortitude the size of grapefruits apologized to Punk and said he wouldn't air dirty laundry on TV. Yes, he kind of confirmed what Punk spoke on (that he was fired on his wedding day, that there was a disconnect between legal and talent relations, that Punk was a bit of a lone wolf, and so on). However, it was a great move for McMahon to actually man up to the situation, and actually apologize for the way things went down.
I've always looked up to McMahon because of his business sense. Sometimes, yeah, he is out of touch. And sometimes, yes, he allows some weird things to happen with his product (calling Booker T the n-word really rubbed me the wrong way, even if it was scripted and possibly a play on Booker's "We Comin' Fo' You..." gaffe). But, be that as it may, he made professional wrestling into what it is today. He made it mainstream. So, what we should take away from his podcast is this:
If you screw someone over or have a hand in "screwing someone over," try to make amends with them before it's too late. McMahon's been doing that with Bret, Warrior, and now potentially Punk. Time will eventually heal all wounds, so just take that first step to make things right.
